FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria (March 2020) - Report

iwo march2020 pic01From 11th to 14th March 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Iwo, Nigeria, by the Nigeria Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
In parallel of the seminar was held the first National Championship of Nigeria (both open and women sections) and the closing ceremony happened as the seminar finished on Saturday 14th. Thanks to the Nigeria Chess Federation and its president Lekan Adeyemi, FIDE Vice President, for the organization in good conditions for all participants! The arbiter of the national championship was FA Paul Kehinde Boyo.
The Lecturer was IA Freyd, Laurent (FRA), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Adeyemi, Olalekan (NGR).
The language of the Seminar was English.
Eighteen (18) arbiters from Nigeria participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Fredericia, Denmark (February 2020) - Report

fredericia february2020 pic01From 13th to 16th February 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Fredericia, Denmark, by the Danish Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA/IO Salama, Omar (ISL), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA/IO Rimestad, Arild (DEN).
The language of the Seminar was English.
Twenty-two (22) arbiters from four (4) Federations (NOR, SWE, FIN and DEN) participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Sao Paulo, Brasil (February 2020) - Report

sao paulo february2020 pic01From 22nd to 26th February 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Sao Paulo, Brasil, by the Confederação Brasileira de Xadrez – CBX, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Ribeiro, Pablyto Robert Baioco (BRA), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Amaral, Mauro (BRA).
The language of the Seminar was Portuguese.
Six (6) arbiters from Japan and Brasil participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Djerba, Tunisia (February 2020) - Report

djerba february2020 pic01From 17th to 21st February 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Djerba, Tunisia, by the Tunisian Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA/IO Messaoudi, Bechir (ALG), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Zidi, Abdullah (TUN).
The language of the Seminar was Arabic with translation into French.
Seven (7) arbiters from Algeria and Tunisia participated in the Seminar and five (5) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Athens, Greece (February 2020) - Report

athens february2020 pic01From 1st to 15th February 2020 (1, 2, 8, 9 and 15th), a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Athens, Greece, by the Athens Chess Club and the Chess Club of Kallithea-Athens, in cooperation with the Greek Chess Federation and the Arbiters’ Committee of the Greek Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Nikolopoulos, Takis (GRE), FIDE Arbiters’ Commission Honorary Chairman and FIDE Lecturer.
The venue of the Seminar was the premises of the Athens Chess Club.
The language of the Seminar was English.
Twenty-five (25) arbiters from Greece participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
