FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Kathmandu, NEPAL

2018 NEPAL FIDE Arbiters Seminar

From 17 to 19 April 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Kathmandu, Nepal by the Nepal Chess Association in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Golden Gate College.

The Lecturer of the Seminar was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Khaiju Gyanendra (NEP).

The lectures were in English language.

Seventeen (17) National Arbiters from Nepal participated in the seminar. All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

seminar logoFrom 5 to 8 April 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Rosenheim, Germany, by the German Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Hotel Hoehensteiger in Rosenheim.

The Lecturer of the Seminar was IA Dr. Juergen Klueners (GER), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Ralph Alt (GER) and IA Juergen Kohlstaedt, FIDE Lecturer (GER).

The lectures were in German language.

Fifteen (15) National Arbiters from Austria and Germany participated in the seminar.

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 9 to 11 March 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India, by the All India Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Royal Park Resort Hotel, in Manali.

The Lecturer was IA Gopakumar Sudhakaran (IND), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer will be IA Swanpil Bansod (IND).

The lectures were in the English language.

Thirty three (33) people from India participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar logoFrom 20 to 25 February 2018 the 57th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the Confederation of Chess for America under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer
The Technical Organizer was IA Jorge Vega (GUA).

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Twenty two (22) participants from fourteen (14) federations (Costa Rica, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, USA, Brazil
and Dominican Republic) attended the seminar on Internet and participated in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 23 to 25 February 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Tokyo, Japan, by the Japanese Chess Association, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), FIDE Arbiters' Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was FA Jumiko Hiebert (JPN)

The lectures were in English language.

Twenty five (25) people from Japan and Macau participated in the Seminar.
Twenty four (24) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter title after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
