FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Dubai, UAE

FIDE Arbiters Seminar-Dubai UAE 2018-1

From 1 to 5 December 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Dubai, UAE, by the UAE Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Arab Chess Federation, and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA/IO Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), FIDE Rules Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Faisal Al Hammadi (UAE).

The Language of the Seminar was Arabic.

Eighteen (18) participants from eight (8) federations (UAE, PLE, SYR, LBN, IRQ, SOM, YEM and EGY) attended the seminar and all of them attended the exams.

The following passed the examination test, which was held after the end of the lectures and they will be awarded a norm of the FIDE Arbiter, according to the regulations for the titles of Arbiters and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 22 to 27 October 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Porto Carras, Halkidiki, Greece, by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission, in cooperation with the Organizing Committee of the 2018 World Youth Chess Championships and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), FIDE Arbiters' Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE) and IA Argiris Kitharidis (GRE).

The lectures were in English language.

Nineteen (19) people from Greece, India, Chile, Italy and Australia participated in the Seminar.
Eight (8) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

2018 INDONESIA  FIDE Arbiters Seminar-1

From 31 August to 2 September 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Jakarta, Indonesia, by the Indonesian Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Indonesian Para games organizing Committee and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Bunawan Bong (INA), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Hamid Majid (MAS).

The lectures were in the English language with translation to Indonesian.

Thirty eight (38) people from Indonesia participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters Seminar-BATUMI OLYMPIAD 2018-1

From 26 September to 1 October 2018 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Batumi, Georgia, by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission, in cooperation with the Georgian Chess Federation and the Organizing Committee of the 43rd Chess Olympiad, under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Meeting Hall of the Hilton Hotel, in Batumi.

The lecturer was IA Stewart Reuben (ENG), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Aris Marghetis (CAN), Secretary of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission.

49 people from 22 Federations (Kyrgyzstan, Ghana, Tanzania, Lesotho, Georgia, Zambia, Namibia, Bermuda, South Sudan, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Libya, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Mongolia, Botswana, Mozambique, Somalia, Central African Republic and Rwanda) attended the seminar and forty five (45) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
