FIDE Arbiters  Seminar-Sharjah UAE 2017-1

From 25 to 29 March 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Sharjah, UAE, by the UAE Chess Federation, in cooperation with Dubai Leader Qualification Centre, and under the auspices of FIDE.

The seminar was held in the Sharjah Chess Club.

The Lecturer was IA/IO Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), FIDE Arbiters' Commission Councilor and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Abdulla Mohamed (SOM).

The Language of the Seminar was Arabic, and there was a translation to English.

FIDE Arbiters  Seminar-Sharjah UAE 2017-2

Twenty two (22) participants from six (6) federations (UAE, OMA, KUW, JOR, SYR, and PH) attended the seminar and twenty (20) of them attended the exam in Arabic & English.

The following passed the examination test, which was held after the end of the lectures and they will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter, according to the regulations for the titles of Arbiters and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 3 to 5 March 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Manila, Philippines, by the National Chess Federation of Philippines in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

Sixteen (16) National Arbiters from Philippines participated in the Seminar

Fifteen (15) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters  Seminar-CANADA TORONTO 2017

From 18 to 20 February 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Toronto, Canada, by the Chess Federation of Canada and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer as IA Hal Bond (CAN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Aris Marghetis (CAN).

The venue of the Seminar was the Hart House of the Toronto University.

The lectures were in English language.

Eight (8) people from Canada participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

2017 RUSSIA-MOSCOW  FIDE Arbiters Seminar

From 1 to 5 February 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Moscow, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS), Member of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer.

Nineteen (19) National Arbiters from Russia and Moldova participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them participated in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 15 to 18 January 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Singapore, by the Singapore Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Asian Chess Federation Executive Director and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Kwai Keong Chan (HKG).

The lectures were in the English language.

Eighteen (18) Arbiters from Singapore, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Macau participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
