50th INTERNET based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar logoFrom 8 to 12 May 2017 the 50th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the ARAB CHESS FEDERATION and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer.
Technical Organizer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was Arabic.

Twenty one (21) people from nine (9) Federations (ALG, EGY, IRQ, KSA, LBA, OMA, PLE, JOR and UAE) attended the seminar on Internet and seventeen (17) of them participated in the on line examination test.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

2017 PALAU FIDE  Arbiters Seminar-1

From 12 to 19 May 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Koror, Palau, by the Palau Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Jamie Kenmure (AUS), FIDE Lecturer.

The venue of the Seminar was the Mason's Hardware Do-It Centre in Koror.

The lectures were in English language.

Twenty Four (24) people from Palau participated in the Seminar and thirteen (13) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board or Congress:

FIDE Arbiters  Seminar -CHINA 2017

From 29 April to 1 May 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Xiamen, China by the Chinese Chess Association, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA K.K. Chan (HKG) and IA Liang Zhihua (CHN).
The language was English with translation to Chinese.

Eighty (80) people from around China attended and 30 participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board or Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Riyadh, SAUDI ARABIA

seminar logoFrom 14 to 17 April 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by the Saudi Chess Association, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Yaser Motlaq Al Otaibi (KSA), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was FA Ahmed Agami (EGY).

The venue of the Seminar was the Mira Hotel in Riyadh.

The lectures were in Arabic language with translation into English.

Sixteen (16) people from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Syria and Egypt participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board or Congress:

From 3 to 6 May 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, by the Uzbekistan Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), Chairman of the FIDE Rules Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Husan Turdialiev (UZB).

The venue of the Seminar was the Chess Academy of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent.

The lectures were in Russian language.

Nineteen (19) Arbiters from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the Seminar. Eight (8) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board or Congress:
