FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Toronto, CANADA

FIDE Arbiters  Seminar-CANADA TORONTO 2017

From 18 to 20 February 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Toronto, Canada, by the Chess Federation of Canada and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer as IA Hal Bond (CAN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Aris Marghetis (CAN).

The venue of the Seminar was the Hart House of the Toronto University.

The lectures were in English language.

Eight (8) people from Canada participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

2017 RUSSIA-MOSCOW  FIDE Arbiters Seminar

From 1 to 5 February 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Moscow, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS), Member of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer.

Nineteen (19) National Arbiters from Russia and Moldova participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them participated in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

2017 SINGAPORE  FIDE Arbiters Seminar
From 15 to 18 January 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Singapore, by the Singapore Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Asian Chess Federation Executive Director and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Kwai Keong Chan (HKG).

The lectures were in the English language.

Eighteen (18) Arbiters from Singapore, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Macau participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 12 to 16 January 2017, a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Hammamet, Tunisia, by the Tunisian Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Atrium Hotel in Hammamet.

The lecturer was IA Bechir MESSAOUDI (TUN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Wajdi CHOUARI (TUN).

The lectures and the exams were in French language with translation in Arabic and English.

Fourteen (14) International and National Arbiters from Algeria and Tunisia participated in the Seminar and twelve (12) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
