FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Fagernes, NORWAY |

From 1 to 5 May 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Fagernes, Norway, by the Norwegian Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.
The lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE General Secretary and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Almog Burstein (ISR).
The lectures were in English language.
Eight (8) Arbiters from Norway participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 28 to30 April 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Madrid, Spain, by the Spanish Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.
The lecturer was IA Jesus Mena (ESP), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Luis Blasco (ESP).
The lectures were in Spanish language.
Seven (7) Arbiters from Spain participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 24 to 29 March 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Amman, Jordan, by the Asian Chess Federation, in cooperation with Royal Jordanian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.
The lecturers were IA Casto Abundo (PHI), ACF Deputy President and FIDE Lecturer and IA Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), ACF Treasurer and FIDE Lecturer.
The lectures were in English language.
Twenty four (24) Arbiters from Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Singapore and Yemen participated in the Seminar and 23 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Sochi, RUSSIA |

From 19 to 22 April 2012 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Sochi, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Alexander Shaab (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Viatcheslav Ivanov (RUS).
The language of the Seminar was Russian.
Sixteen (16) national arbiters from Russia participated in the Seminar and six (6) of them took part in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Samarkand, UZBEKISTAN |

From 4 to 7 April 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, by the Uzbekistan Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.
The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetian (ARM), Member of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturer was IA Husan Turdialiev (UZB).
The lectures were in Russian language.
Eleven (11) Arbiters from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan participated in the Seminar.
All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
