FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Birmingham, England

seminar logoFrom 29th to 31st January 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Birmingham, England, by the Four Nations Chess League, in conjunction with the English Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Holiday Inn Hotel, in Birmingham Airport.

The Lecturer was IA Alex McFarlane (SCO), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Lara Barnes (ENG).

The lectures were in the English language.

Thirteen (13) people from England, Wales and Spain participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the examination test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 22 to 24 January 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, by the Malaysian Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA K.K. Chan (HKG).

The venue of the Seminar was the University Malaya.

The lectures were in the English language.

Twenty seven (27) National Arbiters from Malaysia participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 5 to 6 January 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Stockholm, Sweden, by the Swedish Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Omar Salama (ISL), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Thór Gudmundur Sverrir (SWE).

The venue of the Seminar was the Clarion Hotel in Stockholm.

The lectures were in English language.

Fifteen (15) people from Sweden, Denmark and Finland participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

seminar logoFrom 1 to 6 December 2015 the 44th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the Americas Chess Confederation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer.

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Twenty four (24) Arbiters from fourteen (14) federations (Uruguay, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Chile, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Peru, Dominican Republic, Colombia, El Salvador, Haiti, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico) attended the seminar on Internet and participated in the examination test held after the lectures.
