seminar_logoFrom 18th to 20th April 2014 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Sunningdale, England, by e2e4 Chess and the English Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The venue of the Seminar was the De Vere Venues Sunningdale Park Hotel, Sunningdale, Berkshire, England.

 

The Lecturer was IA David Sedgwick (ENG), FIDE Lecturer, and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Sean Hewitt (ENG).


The lectures were in the English language.

 

3 people from England participated. The following succeeded in the examination test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter after the approval of the next FIDE Congress.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

On 17 and 18 May 2014 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Melbourne, Australia, by the Chess Victoria in cooperation with the Australia Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The venue was the seminar hall of the University of Third Age (U3A) Knox, in Melbourne.

 

The lecturer was IA N.Y. Wong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Peter Tsai (AUS).

 

The lectures were in English language.

 

12 people from Australia, Chinese Taipei and Estonia participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

 

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 17 to 22 April 2014 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Sochi, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The Lecturer was IA Alexander Shaab (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was FA Andrey Beletsky (RUS).

 

The language of the Seminar was Russian.

 

Eighteen (18) National arbiters from Russia participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them took part in the examination test that was held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 12 to15 April 2014 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, by the Uzbekistan Chess Federation in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetian (ARM), Member of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturer was IA Husan Turdialiev (UZB).

 

The venue of the Seminar was the “Uzbekistan” Hotel (4*) in Tashkent.

 

The lectures were in Russian language.

 

Twelve (12) Arbiters from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan participated in the Seminar. Nine (9) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 25 to 28 March 2014 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Baghdad, Iraq, by the Iraqi Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

 

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Shaker Alafoo (BRN), FIDE Lecturer and assistant Lecturer was IA Dhafer Abdul Ameer Madhloom (IRQ) and IA Asaad Ismael Tawfeeq (IRQ).

 

The venue of the Seminar was the Al Mansoor Hotel (5*) in Baghdad.

 

The lectures were in Arabic language.

 

Forty four (44) people from Iraq, Palestine and Libya participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
