FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Cairo, EGYPT

seminar logoFrom 8 to 12 May 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Cairo, Egypt, by the Egyptian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Geurt Gijssen (NED), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Hassan Khaled (EGY) and IA Omar Salama (ISL)

The lectures were in English language.

Twenty seven (27) people from Egypt, Zambia and Libya participated in the Seminar.
Twenty one (21) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Esfahan, IRAN

2015 IRAN FIDE Arbiters Seminar
From 13 to 17 May 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held in Esfahan, Iran, organized by the Esfahan Chess Association, in cooperation with the Iran Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), Asian Chess federation Treasurer and FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English, with translation in to Persian.

Thirty seven (37) Arbiters from Iran attended the seminar on Internet and all of them participated in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

seminar logoFrom 20 to 24 May 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Muscat, Oman, by the Oman Chess Committee, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Dr. Hesham Elgendy (EGY), FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in Arabic language.

Eighteen (18) Arbiters from Oman participated in the Seminar.
All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded the title of the FIDE Arbiter ( according to the article 3.10 of the regulations for the titles of Arbiters ) and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

A FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized from 21 to 24 April 2015 in Blantyre, Malawi, by the Malawi Chess Association, in cooperation with the Africa Chess Union and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Shire Highlands Hotel, in Blantyre.

The Lecturer was IA Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh (IRI), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English.

Twelve (12) people from Malawi, Botswana and Zambia participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The venue of the Seminar was the Dusit Thani Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand.

The lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturers were IA N. Y. Wong (SIN), and IA Bong Bunawan (INA).

The lectures were in English language.
