39th INTERNET based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar logoFrom 9 to 14 March 2015 the 39th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the Seminar was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer and Technical Organizer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English.

Fifty three (53) people from twenty two (22) Federations ( IND, CYP, ESP, JAM, NGR, TUR, PAK, BOT, GRE, TUN, USA, POL, EGY, RWA, INA, ZIM, RSA, HKG, BEL, ETH, FIN, TTO) attended the seminar on Internet and forty seven (47) of them participated in the on line examination test.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar logoFrom 1 to 3 March 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Jerusalem, Israel, by the Israel Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturers were IA Almog Burstein (ISR), FIDE Lecturer and IA Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), FIDE Lecturer. The assistant lecturers were IA Shlomo Kandelshine (ISR), IA Mordechai Shorek (ISR) and IA Abraham Dorner (ISR).

The venue of the Seminar was the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem.

Sixteen (16) Arbiters from Israel participated in the Seminar.
All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 28 February to 1 March 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Melbourne, Australia, by the Chess Victoria in cooperation with the Australia Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Melbourne Chess Club in Melbourne.

The lecturer was IA N.Y. Wong (SIN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Peter Tsai (AUS), Vice-President of Chess Victoria.

The lectures were in English language.

Seven (7) people from Australia and Botswana participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Plovdiv, BULGARIA

seminar logoFrom 4 to 7 February 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Plovdiv, Bulgaria by the Bulgarian Chess Federation.

The venue of the Seminar was the Business room of Hotel "Novotel"

The lecturers were IA Vladimir Sakotic (MNE) and IA Sava Stoisavljevic (SRB) and the Assistant Lecturers were IA Zdravko Nedev (Bulgaria), IA Rumen Angelov (Bulgaria) and IA Nikolay Yordanov (Bulgaria).

The lectures were in the English language with Bulgarian translations when necessary.

17 people from 3 Federations (BUL, MKD and NED) participated in the Seminar.
All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters Seminar-Casablanca  MOROCCO 2015
From 1 to 4 February 2015 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Casablanca, Morocco, by the Royal Morocco Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Movenpick Hotel in Sana'a.

The lecturer was IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Akkour Abdelfattah (MAR), Chairman of Morocco Arbiters' Council and IA Bechir Messaoudi (TUN).

The lectures were in Arabic language with translation in French.

Forty nine (49) National Arbiters from Morocco and Tunisia participated in the Seminar and forty seven (47) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
