29th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 16 to 20 December 2013 the 29th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Chess IQ Academy and Chess Center and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The Lecturer and Technical Organizer of the seminar was IA/IO Sevan Muradian (USA), FIDE Lecturer.

 

The language of the Seminar was English.

 

18 people from Spain, Bahamas, Turkey, India, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, USA, Brazil, Israel, Singapore and Tanzania attended the seminar on Internet and 16 of them participated in the examination test held after the end of the lectures.

 

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Manama, BAHRAIN

seminar_logoFrom 17 to 20 November 2013 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Manama, BAHRAIN, by the Bahrain Mind Sports Association and under auspices of FIDE.

 

The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Shaker Alafoo (BRN), FIDE Lecturer and assistant Lecturer was FA Taha Hussain Ahmed (BRN).

 

The venue of the Seminar was the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama.

 

The lectures were in English, with translation in Arabic.

 

Twenty four (24) people from Bahrain, including 5 women, participated in the Seminar and fifteen (15) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Cochabamba, BOLIVIA

From 1 to 4 December 2013 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Cochabamba, Bolivia, by the Bolivian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The lecturer was IA Marcello Hermida (ARG), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Alfonso Ferrufino (BOL).

 

The lectures were in Spanish language.

 

Six (6) Arbiters from Argentina and Bolivia participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Lagos, NIGERIA

From 7 to 11 November 2013 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Lagos, Nigeria, by the Nigerian Chess Federation, under auspices of Africa Chess Union and FIDE.

 

The lecturer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), FIDE Lecturer.

 

The lectures were in English language.

 

Seven (7) National Arbiters from Nigeria participated in the Seminar.

 

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar_logoFrom 26 November to 1 December 2013 the 31st Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Development Commission and the Confederation Chess of Americas, under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer.

 

The Technical Organizer was IA Jorge Vega Fernandez (GUA).

 

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

 

Fourteen (14) people from México, Bolivia, El Salvador, Chile, Argentina, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago attended the seminar on Internet and took the examination test.

 

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
