FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA

From 28 September to 1 October 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by the FASGBA, in cooperation with the Argentina Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The lecturer was IA Marcello Hermida (ARG), FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in Spanish language.

 

Nine (9) National Arbiters from Argentina participated in the Seminar and nine (9) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Istanbul, TURKEY

seminar_logoFrom 29 August to7 September 2012, during the 40th Chess Olympiad, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Istanbul, Turkey, by the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission in cooperation with the Turkish Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The seminar was held in the venue of the Olympiad, the Istanbul Expo Center (IEC).

 

The lecturer was IA Dirk De Ridder (BEL), Chairman of FIDE Technical Commission and FIDE Lecturer.

 

The lectures were in English language.

 

Fourteen (14) people from Turkey, Botswana, Surinam, Uganda, Ethiopia and Malawi participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter (according to the article 3.10 of the regulations for the titles of Arbiters), after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

COMMISSION for WOMEN’S CHESS 18th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 9 to 14 October 2012 the 18th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Commission for Women’s Chess, under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer.

The Technical Organizer was WGM Martha Fierro.

 

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

 

Thirty seven (37) women from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, México, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru, Argentina, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic attended the seminar on Internet and twenty three (23) of them participated in the examination test that was held after the end of the lectures.

 

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

The lecturer was IA Vladimir Sacotic (MNE), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Nenad Doric (CRO).

The lectures were in English language (with Croatian translations when necessary).

Nine (9) people from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia participated in the Seminar and eight (8) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. From 17 to 21 September 2012 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Vladivostok, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Mihail Krjukov (RUS).

The language of the Seminar was Russian.
