FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Hue, VIETNAM

From 15 to 19 June 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Hue, Vietnam, by the Vietnam Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Asian Chess Federation Deputy President and FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

31 Arbiters from Vietnam, Laos and Philippines participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

seminar_logoFrom 31 May to 3 June 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Sydney, Australia, by the Oceania Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

 

The venue was the Parramatta RSL Club, in Sydney.

The lecturer was IA Gary Bekker (AUS), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Charles Zworestine (AUS).

The lectures were in English language.

 

7 people from Australia (6 men and 1 woman) participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From16 to 20 May 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Antananarivo, Madagascar, by the Madagascar Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Stephen Boyd (FRA), FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in French language.

 

9 people from Madagascar participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded the title of the FIDE Arbiter, according to the article 3.10 of the regulations for the titles of Arbiters and after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 5 to 9 May 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Abu Dhabi, UAE, by the Abu Dhabi Chess Club and Abu Dhabi Sports Club, in cooperation with the UAE Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Abu Dhabi Sports Club in Abu Dhabi.

The lecturer was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), UAE Chess Federation Technical Secretary and Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and IA Sultan Ali Al Taher (UAE), Member of the FIDE Technical Commission and Chairman of the UAE Chess Federation Arbiters’ Commission.

The lectures were in English language.

 

15 Arbiters from UAE, Australia, Egypt, Syria and Iraq participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title or the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

COMMISSION for WOMEN’S CHESS 16th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 21 to 27 May 2012 the 16th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Commission for Women’s Chess, under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), FIDE Arbiters’ Commission’s Chairman and FIDE Lecturer.

The Technical Organizer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE).

The Lectures were in English language.

 

Twenty six (26) people (14 women, 12 men) from Australia, Malaysia, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Italy, Costa Rica, Greece, Iran, Panama, Mexico, South Africa, Venezuela, Colombia, USA and Botswana attended the seminar on Internet. Fourteen (14) of them participated in the examination test that was held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
