FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Belgorod, RUSSIA

From 1 to 4 November 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Belgorod, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Oleg Tovchyga (UKR), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturers were IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS) and FA Alexander Ivanov (RUS).

The lectures were in Russian language.

11 National Arbiters from Russia and Moldova participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

COMMISSION for WOMEN’S CHESS 11th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 3 to 9 October 2011 the 11th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Commission for Women’s Chess, under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer.

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Twenty four (24) women from Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Honduras attended the seminar on Internet.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar_logoFrom 25 to 29 September 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Dubai, UAE, by the UAE Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturers were IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE General Secretary and FIDE Lecturer and IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), FIDE Arbiters’ Commission Councilor and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Sultan Al Taher (UAE).

The lectures were in English and Arabic language.

28 people from UAE, Somalia, Philippines, Egypt and Iran participated in the Seminar and 17 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Yangon, MYANMAR

From 6 to 11 October 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Yangon, Myanmar, by the Myanmar Chess Federation and under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), ACF Deputy President and FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

20 people from Myanmar and Thailand participated in the Seminar and 16 of them participated in the in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX).

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Eleven (11) Arbiters from Guatemala attended the seminar on Internet.
