FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Toronto, CANADA

seminar_logoFrom 13 to 15 July 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Toronto, Canada, by the Chess Institute of Canada and the Canadian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Dirk DeRidder (BEL), FIDE Technical Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Hal Bond (CAN).

The lectures were in English language.

9 people from Canada and USA participated in the Seminar and 8 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

seminar_logoFrom 28 to 31 August 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Santiago, Chile, by the Chess Federation of Chile and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the “FUNDACION CHILENA DE AJEDREZ”.

The lecturer was IA Antonio Bento (BRA), FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in Spanish language.

14 people from Chile and Paraguay participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

PANAMA 7th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 15 to 21 August 2011 the seventh Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Confederation of Chess for America in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Panama and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX).

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Seven (6) Arbiters from Panama attended the seminar on Internet.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
