FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Athens, GREECE

seminar_logoFrom 17 to 19 February 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Athens, Greece, by the Attica Chess Union, in cooperation with the Greek Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Meeting Hall of KYBE, in Peristeri, Athens.

The lecturer was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturers were IA Sotiris Logothetis (GRE) and IA Mihail Prevenios, member of the FIDE Swiss Pairings Committee.

12 National Arbiters from Greece participated in the Seminar.

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Ankara, TURKEY

seminar_logoFrom 8 to 12 February 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Ankara, Turkey, by the Turkish Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Meeting Hall of the Turkish Chess Federation in Ankara.

The lecturer was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturers were IA Guran Unal (TUR) and IA Erdem Ucarkus (TUR).

The lectures were in English language with translation in to Turkish language, when it was needed.

93 National Arbiters from Turkey participated in the Seminar

28 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC 13rd Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 16 to 22 January 2012 the 13rd Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Confederation of Chess for America in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Dominican Republic and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX).

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Seven (7) Arbiters from Dominican Republic and Venezuela attended the seminar on Internet.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Queenstown, NEW ZEALAND

seminar_logoFrom 16 to 22 January 2012 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Queenstown, New Zealand, by the New Zealand Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Oceania Chess Confederation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Bob Gibbons (NZL), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Shaun Press (PNG).

Three (3) people from New Zealand and Australia participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Moscow, RUSSIA

seminar_logoFrom 1 to 4 February 2012 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Moscow, Russia, by the Moscow Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA Andrzej Filipowicz (POL), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Artem Akhmatov (RUS).

Ten (10) arbiters from Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
