FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Colombo, Sri Lanka

From 3 to 7 December 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Colombo, Sri Lanka, by the Sri Lanka Chess Federation, in cooperation with CACDEC and under auspices of FIDE.
The lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Deputy President of the Asian Chess Federation, and Assistant lecturer was IA Luxman Wijesuriya (SRI), member of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission.
24 people from Sri Lanka and Maldives participated in the seminar.
All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
The following eighteen (18) succeeded in the test and will be awarded the title of the FIDE Arbiter (according the article 3.10 of the Regulations for the titles of the arbiters) or a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Oppenau, GERMANY

seminar_logoFrom 11 to 14 November 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Oppenau, Germany, by the German Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Hotel Wasserfall in Oppenau.

The lecturers were IA Werner Stubenvoll (AUT) and IA Klaus Deventer (GER), Councilors of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and Assistant lecturer was IA Juergen Kohlstaedt (GER).

The lectures were in German language.

21 National Arbiters from Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland participated in the seminar.

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following fifteen (15) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Rijeka, Croatia Print

seminar_logoFrom 09 to 12 November 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Rijeka, Croatia, by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission, in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Croatia and Chess Club "Rijeka" and under auspices of FIDE.
The venue of the Seminar was conference room of Chess Club "Rijeka" Rijeka.
The lecturers were IA Vladimir Sakotic (MNE) and IA Sava Stoisavljevic (SRB).
IA Vladimir Cvetnic was assistant appointed by Chess Federation of Croatia.
The lectures were in English language.
Lecturers lectured in detail of Laws of Chess, Rating and Title regulations, Tournament regulations, Swiss Pairings as well as all topics recommended to the courses for the Arbiters' Seminars with case studies on all the topics. All participants were very active during classes and some of them presented high knowledge on particular topics.

9 people from 5 Federations (CRO, BiH, SRB, SLO and ESP) participated in the Seminar. All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following six (6) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title (according to the art. 3.10 of the Regulations of the titles of Arbiters) and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Porto Carras, GREECE

From 22 to 27 October 2010 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Porto Carras, Greece, during the World Youth Chess championships 2010, by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission, in cooperation with the Greek Chess Federation and the Organizing Committee of the WYCC 2010 and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Olympic Congress Hall of the Meliton Hotel (5*).

The lecturer was IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos (GRE), Chairman of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and Assistant lecturer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), Member of the FIDE Swiss Pairings Committee.

The lectures were in English language.

20 people from 7 Federations ( IND, GRE, NZL, INA, CAN, IRI and VEN ) participated in the Seminar.

16 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following eight (8) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title (according to the art. 3.10 of the Regulations of the titles of Arbiters) and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters Seminar in Khanty-Mansiysk, RUSSIA

From 27 September to 3 October 2010 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetian (ARM), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Igor Bolotinsky (RUS).

The Seminar was held during the 39th Chess Olympiad and the lectures were in Russian language.

Thirty (30) arbiters from Russia, Belarus and Afghanistan attended the Seminar and fifteen (15) of them participated in the examination test held after the end of the lectures.

The following eight (8) succeeded in the examination test and will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
