FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in HONG KONG

From 30 July to 3 August 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Hong Kong, by the Hong Kong Chess Federation and under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE General Secretary and FIDE Lecturer and Co- Lecturer was IA Casto Abundo (PHI), ACF Deputy President and FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

13 people from Hong Kong, Macau and China participated in the Seminar and in the in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm or the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

PUERTO RICO 5th Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 18 to 24 July 2011 the fifth Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Confederation of Chess for America in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Puerto Rico and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX).

The Lectures were in Spanish language.

Nine (9) Arbiters from Puerto Rico attended the seminar on Internet.

The following two (2) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Shenzhen, CHINA

From 8 to 12 July 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Shenzhen, China, by the Chinese Chess Association, in collaboration with the Executive Committee of the FISU Shenzhen Universiade 2011 and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ignatius Leong (SIN), FIDE General Secretary and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Zhu Jiaqi (CHI).

The lectures were in English language.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Cali, COLOMBIA

seminar_logoFrom 4 to 8 July 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Cali, Colombia, by the Colombian Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Confederation for Chess for America and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was San Fernando Real Hotel, in Cali.

The lecturer was IA Jorge Vega (GUA), Americas Continental President and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Lose Martinez (MEX).

The lectures were in Spanish language.

17 people from Colombia, Peru and Venezuela participated in the Seminar and in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Kostroma, RUSSIA

seminar_logoFrom 5 to 8 July 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Kostroma, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Alexander Shaab (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturers were IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS) and Andrey Beletsky (RUS).

The language of the Seminar was Russian.

14 National Arbiters from three (3) Federations (RUS, BLR and KAZ) participated in the seminar.

6 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
