FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Hammamet, TUNISIA

2017 TUNISIA FIDE  Arbiters Seminar 2

From 12 to 16 January 2017, a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Hammamet, Tunisia, by the Tunisian Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Atrium Hotel in Hammamet.

The lecturer was IA Bechir MESSAOUDI (TUN), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Wajdi CHOUARI (TUN).

The lectures and the exams were in French language with translation in Arabic and English.

Fourteen (14) International and National Arbiters from Algeria and Tunisia participated in the Seminar and twelve (12) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

From 10 to 12 January 2017 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in New Delhi, India, by the All India Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Park Plaza Hotel in New Delhi.

The Lecturer was IA Prof. R. Anatharam (IND), FIDE Arbiters' Commission Councillor and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Gopakumar Sudhakaran (IND).
The lectures were in the English language.

Fifty nine (59) people from India participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FIDE Arbiter Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

seminar logoFrom 24 to 28 January 2017 the 49th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), FIDE Rules Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and the Technical Organizer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), FIDE Lecturer.

The Lectures were in Russian language.

Ten (10) Arbiters from six (6) federations (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Canada, Armenia and Latvia) attended the seminar on Internet and participated in the examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

From 27 to 31 December 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Tamuning, Guam, by the Guam Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Jamie Kenmure (AUS), Councillor of the FIDE Chess for the Disabled Commission and FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

Eight (8) National Arbiters from Guam participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

From 5 to 9 December 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Marrakech, Morocco, by the Royal Morocco Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Arab Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the Zalagh Kasbah Hotel & SPA Hotel in Marrakech.

The lecturer was IA Mahdi Abdulrahim (UAE), Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Akkour Abdelfattah (MAR).

The lectures were in Arabic language with translation in French and English.

Seventeen (17) National Arbiters from Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Palestine and Jordan participated in the Seminar and thirteen (13) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
