FIDE Arbiters' Seminar in Samara, RUSSIA

2016 RUSSIA-SAMARA FIDE Arbiters  Seminar

From 6 to 10 November 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Samara region, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the sanatorium Tsiolkovsky in Samara.

The lecturer was IA Alexander Tkachev (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer was IA Stanislav Yanusevsky (RUS).

Twenty (20) National Arbiters from Russia participated in the Seminar and eight (8) of them participated in the examination test held after the lectures.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

48th INTERNET based FIDE ARBITERS’ SEMINAR (in English language)

seminar logoFrom 25 to 30 October 2016 the 48th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was held, organized by the FIDE Arbiters' Commission and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer and the Technical Organizer of the seminar was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Sotiris Logothetis (GRE).

The Lectures were in English language.

Thirty-four (34) Arbiters from seventeen (17) Federations (Costa Rica, England, Ethiopia, Finland, Ghana, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Kuwait, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, South Africa, Russia, South Sudan and Zimbabwe) attended the seminar on Internet and participated in the
examination test held after the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:

2016 MYANMAR FIDE Arbiters Seminar

From 29 October to 4 November a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Mandalay, Myanmar by the Myanmar Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The Seminar was organized in conjunction with the 7th Asian Seniors Chess Championships 2016 and the venue of the Seminar was the Hazel Hotel in Mandalay, Myanmar.

The Lecturer was IA Bob Gibbons (NZL), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer was IA Peter Long (MYA).

The language of the seminar was English.

Thirteen (13) Arbiters from three (3) Federations (Myanmar, Brunei and New Zealand) participated in the Seminar.

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar logoFrom 3 to 9 October 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Thessaloniki, Greece, by the Chess Club "Galaxias" of Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the Greek Chess Federation and the Thessaloniki-Halkidiki Chess Clubs' Union and under auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar was the offices of the Chess Club "Galaxias" in Thessaloniki.

The lecturer was IA Viron Tsorbatzoglou (GRE), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Prodromos Gerontopoulos (GRE), IA Stelios Mimikos (GRE), FA Ioannis Christoforidis (GRE) and NA Christos Tozaros.

From 22 to25 October 2016 a FIDE Arbiters' Seminar was organized in Batumi, Georgia, by the Georgian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), Chairman of the FIDE Rules Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Marika Japaridze (GEO).

The Seminar was organized parallel to the 2016 World Cadets U 08, 10 and 12 Chess Championships.

The venue of the Seminar was the Intourist Hotel, in Batumi.

The lectures were in Russian and English language.

Twelve (12) people from Georgia, Latvia, Lebanon and Zimbabwe participated in the Seminar. All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
