From 19 to 21 February 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Odessa, Ukraine, by the Ukrainian Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Andrzej Filipowicz (POL), Secretary of the FIDE Technical Commission and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant lecturer was IA Oleg Tovchyga (UKR).

The lectures were in Russian language.

13 National Arbiters from Ukraine and Belorussia participated in the Seminar

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

COLOMBIA 3rd Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar

seminar_logoFrom 24 to 30 January 2011 the third Internet based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held, organized by the Confederation of Chess for America in cooperation with the Chess Federation of Colombia, and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer of the seminar was IA Santiago Garcia (MEX).

The Lectures were presented through a web-conferencing platform and lasted for 32 hours.

Fifteen (15) Arbiters from Colombia attended the seminar on Internet.

The following four (4) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

seminar_logoFrom 2 to 5 February 2011 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Moscow, Russia, by the Moscow Chess Federation in cooperation with ISCU and under the auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Andrzej Filipowicz (POL), Secretary of the FIDE Technical Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was NA Artiom Akhamtov (RUS).

The language of the Seminar was English.

31 National Arbiters from five (5) Federations (RUS, AZE, BLR, GRE and KAZ) participated in the seminar.

17 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Utrecht, NETHERLANDS

seminar_logoOn 6, 13 October and 3 November 2010 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Utrecht, Netherlands, by the Dutch Chess Federation and under auspices of FIDE.

The lecturer was IA Geurt Gijssen (NED), Chairman of the FIDE Rules and Tournament Regulations Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturers were IA Koos Stolk (NED) and IA Aart Strik (NED).

14 arbiters from the Netherlands participated in the seminar.

All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following nine (9) succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter and after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:

The venue of the Seminar was Società Scacchistica Milanese.

The lecturer was IA Franca Dapiran (ITA), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Maurizio Mascheroni (ITA).

19 National Arbiters from Italy and Iran participated in the seminar.

17 of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
