International Arbiter Workshop in Trieste, Italy - REPORT

workshop trieste september2019 pic01An International Arbiters’ Workshop was held from 3 to 4 September 2019 in Trieste, Italy.
The Organizers were the ECU Arbiters’ Council and the Italian Chess Federation’s Arbiters’ Commission, in cooperation with Sst1904.
The venue was the Ippodromo di Montebello and the meeting hall of the Milano Hotel, in Trieste.
Eighteen (18) International Arbiters (7 women and 11 Men and among them 5 IA A’ Cat., 2 IA B’ Cat., 4 IA C’ Cat. and IA D’ Cat.) from twelve (12) Federations (AZE, BEL, BLR, CAN, ENG, GEO, GRE, ITA, POL, SLO, SRB and UKR) participated in the Workshop.

International Arbiter Workshop in Baku, Azerbaijan - REPORT

workshop june2019 pic02A third workshop within the framework of the FIDE Pilot Project for Training and Certification of the International Arbiters for the 2020 Chess Olympiad was organized in Baku, Azerbaijan by the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and the Chess Federation of Azerbaijan. The objective was to train and to certify IAs who are up-to-date on the recent changes in the Laws of Chess and the FIDE Competition Rules and are able to communicate in English efficiently to be integrated into multinational arbiter teams in FIDE events.

This International Arbiter Workshop took place on June 21-24 under the patronage of FIDE Vice-President Mahir Mammedov. Mr. Mammedov opened the workshop and personally welcomed participants from four federations.

Twenty-five arbiters from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine took part in the event. The Lecturer was IA/FL Faig Gasanov (AZE); the Assistant Lecturer was IA/IO Vadim Tsypin (CAN). The language of the workshop was Russian. The examination test featured some questions in Russian and the others in English.

International Arbiter Workshop in Tashkent, Uzbekistan - REPORT

This International Arbiter Workshop took place on May 23-26, 2019.

The lecturer was IA Tkachev, Alexander (RUS), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Tsypin, Vadim (CAN).
The language of the Workshop was Russian.
29 International Arbiters from three (3) Federations (RUS, AZE, BLR) participated in the workshop.

The FIDE Arbiters' Commission (ARB) and the Russian Chess Federation (RCF) are pleased to invite participants to a Workshop for International Arbiters.

Dates: The workshop will take place in Moscow on January 25 (Arrival date) - 28 (Departure date), 2019.

Place: Lecture room № 216, 4/8, Wilhelma Piecka Street ("Botanichesky Sad" subway station), the Russian State Social University (RSSU).
