ARB Calendar

The 112th Internet-based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 2/6/2022 to 5/6/2022 by the Portuguese Chess Federation and African Chess Confederation, under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer will be IA Dias, Carlos Oliveira (POR), FIDE Lecturer and Local Assistant Lecturer will be IA Rocha, Paulo (POR).

The language of the Seminar will be Portuguese.

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organised from 8/12/2022 to 13/12/2022 in Rio de Janeiro, by the Brasilian Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar will be the Copacabana Hotel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Lecturer will be IA/IO Pingas, Blas Mariano (ARG), FIDE Lecturer  and Local Assistant Lecturer will be IA/IO Mafra, Kaiser Luiz (BRA).

The language of the Seminar will be Portuguese.

The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.

Day Two – 09/12/2022 – 09 – 13 hs.
 – 09-11 hs – FIDE Competition Rules and Standars of Chess Equipment.
 – 11-12 hs. – Systems of Games – Tye Breaks.
 – 12-13 hs. – Use of the electronics clocks.

Day Three – 11/12/2022 – 09 – 13 hs.
– 09-11 hs. – Regulations for the rating and the over-the-board titles.
– 11-13 hs. – Regulations for the titles of the Arbiters.

Day Four – 12/12/2022 – 09 – 13 hs.
– 09-12 hs. – Swiss System and Pairing Rules.
– 12-13 hs. – Anti-Cheating guidelines for Arbiters.

Day Five – 13/12/2022 – 09 – 13 hs.
– 09-10 hs. – English

The Lecturer will be IA/IO Dias, Carlos Oliveira (POR), FIDE Lecturer and the Local Assistant Lecturer will be IA Rocha, Paulo (POR).

The language of the Seminar will be Portuguese.

The Lecturer will be IA Ribeiro, Pablyto Robert Baioco (BRA), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant Lecturer will be IA/IO Mafra, Kaiser Luiz (BRA).

The language of the Seminar will be Portuguese.

The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.

Oct, 11^th – 9h00 to 12h00 – Anti‐cheating guidelines for Arbiters (2 hours) / System of games, tie breaks (1 hour)

Oct, 12^th – 9h00 to 12h00 – Swiss system and pairing rules (3 hours)

Oct, 13^th – 9h00 to 12h00 – FIDE Competition Rules and standards of chess equipment (2:30 hours) / Use of electronic clocks (30 min)

Oct, 14^th – 9h00 to 12h00 – Regulations for the titles of Arbiters (1 hour) / Rating and over‐the‐board titles (2 hours)

Oct, 15^th – 9h00 to 13h00 – Laws of Chess / English chess vocabulary (4 hours)

Oct, 16^th – 10h00 to 14h00 – Written Exam
