74th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar (European Chess Union) - Report

71st internet ecu may2020 pic0174th Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held from 3rd to 7th May 2020.
It was organized by the European Chess Union, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Prokopova, Jirina (CZE), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Bailleul, Geert (BEL). Technical Organizer was IA Logothetis, Sotiris (GRE).
The Language of the Seminar was in English.
Forty-one (41) participants are registered from twenty-six (26) different federations attend the seminar and thirty-five (35) participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

seminar logo71st Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held from 17th to 24th March 2020.
It was organized by the Confederation chess of America, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer. Technical Organizer was IA Vega Fernandez, Jorge (GUA).
The Language of the Seminar was in Spanish.
Thirty (30) participants are registered from seventeen (17) different federations attend the seminar and twenty-four (24) participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

73rd Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar (OMA) - Report

73rd internet based pic0173rd Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held from 16th to 20th April 2020.
It was organized by the Oman Chess Committee and Asia Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Abdulrahim, Mahdi (UAE), FIDE Lecturer and the Chairman of the Asian Arbiters Council. The Organizer was Ahmed Al Bulushi (OMA) President of the OMA Chess Committee. Technical Organizer was IA Mihail Prevenios (GRE) and the observer was Mr. Mohammed El Husseiny (EGY), Arbiters Commission Consular.
The Language of the Seminar was in Arabic.
Thirty-seven (37) participants are registered from eleven (11) different federations attend the seminar, there were from ALG, BRN, UAE, OMA, KSA, PLE, IRQ, MAR, PLE, SYR, and EGY. All of them attended the exam. Thirty-four (34) of them passed the examination test with 80%, which was held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria (March 2020) - Report

iwo march2020 pic01From 11th to 14th March 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Iwo, Nigeria, by the Nigeria Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
In parallel of the seminar was held the first National Championship of Nigeria (both open and women sections) and the closing ceremony happened as the seminar finished on Saturday 14th. Thanks to the Nigeria Chess Federation and its president Lekan Adeyemi, FIDE Vice President, for the organization in good conditions for all participants! The arbiter of the national championship was FA Paul Kehinde Boyo.
The Lecturer was IA Freyd, Laurent (FRA), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Adeyemi, Olalekan (NGR).
The language of the Seminar was English.
Eighteen (18) arbiters from Nigeria participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Fredericia, Denmark (February 2020) - Report

fredericia february2020 pic01From 13th to 16th February 2020, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Fredericia, Denmark, by the Danish Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA/IO Salama, Omar (ISL), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA/IO Rimestad, Arild (DEN).
The language of the Seminar was English.
Twenty-two (22) arbiters from four (4) Federations (NOR, SWE, FIN and DEN) participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
