FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Bangkok (THA) – Report

From 22nd to 28th November 2025, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Bangkok, by the Asian Chess Association, under the auspices of FIDE.

The Seminar was opened by Mr. Nakvanich, Sahapol, president of Thailand Chess Federation, who welcome to participation and praised the Asian Chess Federation for its ongoing efforts in providing training programs and strengthening the arbiter structure throughout the continent.

The Lecturer was IA Abdulrahim, Mahdi (UAE), FIDE Lecturer.

The language of the Seminar was English.

Twelve (12) arbiters from four (4) national federation (MAC, SGP, BRU, and THA) participated in the Seminar and eleven (11) participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Council:
