Gerhard Bertagnolli works for a local IT-company in Northern Italy, leading a team responsible for technical support.
He has been a chess player for more than 30 years, although in recent years he has become more involved with everything to do outside of his own games. Gerhard is International Arbiter (since 2014), International Organizer, FIDE Instructor…. and chess collector! Also more he has experiences in live boards administration.
The most important stages as CA or DCA had been so far:
FIDE Grand Prix 2019 Hamburg, FIDE World Amateur Chess Championship 2017 and 2018, FIDE World Senior Chess Championship 2015-2017-2018-2022, FIDE World Senior Team Chess Championship 2016 and 2018, other 30 title tournaments in Italy, Austria and Germany and uncountable smaller tournaments in last 15 years.
As match (or sector) arbiter with experience in European Youth Chess Championship 2009, European Club Cup 2016, European Team Chess Championship 2021 and FIDE World Senior Chess Championship 2009 and 2010.
