Panagiotis Nikolopoulos

Takis Nikolopoulos is a Civil Engineer, working in the Greek Ministry of Defense. He is a member of the Board of the Greek Chess Federation since 1994 and president of the Cultural and Chess Club of Korydallos in Athens, since 1990. He is a member of the Technical Commission of the Greek Supreme Council for the Military Sports.

He has served as chief arbiter in three (3) World Chess Olympiads (2012, 2014, 2018), in three (3) World Chess Championship Matches (2008, 2010, 2016), two (2), Women’s World Championship Matches (2011, 2013), one (1) Candidates Tournament, four (4) World Team Chess Championships for Men and Women, three (3) Grand Prix for men and women, four (4) European Individual and Team Chess Championships, 10 grandmaster tournaments, ten (10) World and European Youth Chess championships, three (3) World Juniors Chess Championships, three (3) World Schools Chess Championships, three (3) World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships and in many National and International tournaments in Greece.

As a FIDE lecturer he has conducted about 40 seminars and refresher courses for FIDE and national arbiters.
