Melih Cicek is a Mathematician and Educational Coach. He is an International Arbiter (since 2015), International Organizer (since 2015) and FIDE Instructor (since 2017). He is a Secretary of Social Commission in the European Chess Union, a Chairman of Technical Committee in the Turkish Chess Federation and a Proctor of Fair-Play on Chess.com. He is also an ECU Online Arbiter and Tornelo Certified Arbiter. He can manage live broadcasting on YouTube and operate to DGT e-boards.
He recognized for his dedication and professionalism in organizing and officiating national and international chess tournaments. With years of experience in tournament direction, he is known for his clear communication, fairness, and strong knowledge of FIDE regulations. He has successfully served in various roles, including Chief Arbiter and Pairings Officer, contributing to the growth of chess in his region while supporting young players and coaches in their development. Outside of tournaments, he continues to engage with the chess community through seminars and mentoring, aiming to promote fair play and a love of chess among all players.
