The FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 14/03/2025 to 16/03/2025 in Oslo by the USF (youth) Academy, and the Norway Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer will be IA Alex McFarlane (NOR), FIDE Lecturer.
The language of the Seminar will be English.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.
Schedule:
Fri 14th
6-9pm Laws of Chess (3 hrs)
Sat 15th
9am to 6pm (with 1 hr refreshments) Fair Play (1 hr), Laws (1 hr), Competition Rules+Equipment (1 hr),
Tie Breaks 1hr, Rating & Player titles (2.5 hrs), Pairings (1.5 hrs)
Sun 16th
9am to 3 pm Pairing (0.5 hrs), clocks (0.5 hrs), Q&A (1 hr), Exam (4 hrs)
