A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organised from 16/12/2024 to 19/12/2024 in Polokwane, by the Chess South Africa, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer will be IA Gunther, van den Bergh (RSA), FIDE Lecturer.
The language of the Seminar will be English.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of FIDE Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.

• Session 1: 0930-1100 (Arbiter titles + norms)
• Session 2: 1130-1300 (Player titles + norms)
• Session 3: 1400-1530 (Rating calculations)
• Session 4: 1600-1730 (Tiebreaks)
• Session 5: 1900-2100 (Swiss, Round-Robin, other pairings)
17 December 2024
• Session 6: 0930-1100 (Anti cheating, Hybrid, Online + fairplay)
• Session 7: 1130-1300 (Competition reg, equipment, etc.)
• Session 8: 1400-1530 (Pairing software, Laws of Chess)
• Session 9: 1600-1700 (Laws of Chess)
