Enrique Zaragoza Martinez is an International Arbiter since 1992, and FIDE Lecturer. He has 44 years of experience in arbitration and organization of chess tournaments. Working uninterruptedly for chess from 1978 to date. Vice President of the National Chess Federation of Mexico (2020-2024).
Currently holds the position of vice president of Mexico Chess Federation and Councilor of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission.
He was an arbiter at several chess Olympiads World Chess Olympiad:
– Calvia, Spain 2004 Senior women’s sector
– Turin, Italy 2006 Senior women’s sector
– Dresden, Germany 2008 Referee of women’s sector match
He is also very active as an organizer, principal and technical director: Pan American Youth Festival (Bogota, Colombia 2004, Santa Catarina, Brazil 2005), Absolute Continental Championship Buenos Aires 2005, Manzanillo Amateur World Championship, etc. Also, he was a member of the organizing committee of the couple top world events: World Championship Mexico 2007, Iberoamerican Championship 2022, “CDMX 2000 Chess Festival” +5000 participants, Simultaneous GM Gary Kasparov 2001, etc.
