17th IA Seminars in Yancheng (China)!
An International Certification Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 27/06/2025 to 02/07/2025 in Yancheng, by the Chinese Chess Association and Arbiters’ Commission, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer will be IA Laurent Freyd (FRA) and IA Alex McFarlane (SCO), FIDE Lecturers.
The language of the Seminar will be English.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of International Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.
According to the FIDE Regulations for the training of chess arbiters, starting from January 1st 2024, each application for IA arbiter requires one norm from IA Seminar.

27th June: all day – Arrival
28th June: 09.00-12.00 and 15:00-19:00 Running a chess event, Case study, Laws of Chess
29th June: 09.00-12.00 and 15:00-19:00 Tie Break, Tournament Regulation, Chess Clocks, Titles
30th June: 09.00-12.00 and 15:00-19:00 Fair Play, Title Exam, Closing the Event
1st July: 09.00-12.00 and 15:00-19:00 Evaluating arbiters, Final Exam, Conclusion
2nd July: all day – Departure
