26th IA Seminars in Batumi (Georgia)!
An International Certification Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 22/06/2026 to 26/06/2026 in Batumi, by the Georgian Chess Federation and Arbiters’ Commission, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer will be IA Vardapetyan, Ashot (ARM) and IA Gopakumar M S (IND), FIDE Lecturers.
The language of the Seminar will be English.
The Seminar will give norms and titles of International Arbiter, according to the Regulations for the titles of Arbiters.
According to the FIDE Regulations for the training of chess arbiters, starting from January 1st 2024, each application for IA arbiter requires one norm from IA Seminar.

9:30 – 11:00: Laws Changes (1.5 hours)
11:00 – 13:00: Practical Applications of the Laws (case study) (2 hours)
13:00 – 13:30, Arbiter Regulations (0.5 hour)
23rd June 2026
9:30 – 11:30 Running Chess Events (including Duties of the Chief Arbiter) (2 hour)
11:30 – 12:30: Practical Applications of the Laws (1 hour)
24th June 2026
12:30 – 13:30: Pairing Exercises (case study) (1 hour)
25th June 2026
9:30 – 10:00: English term (0.5 hour)
10:00 – 11:30 Player Title Regulations (case study) (1.5 hour)
11:30 – 12:30 Fair Play (Case Studies and precautions) (1 hour)
12:30 – 13:30 Technical Items (inc. tie breaks) (1 hour)
26th June 2026
09:30 – 13:30: Exam (4 hour)
Lecturers for 26th will be IA Vardapetyan, Ashot (ARM) and IA Gopakumar M S (IND), FIDE Lecturers.
