IN MEMORIAM ELISABETA POLIHRONIADE

With great sadness the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission was informed that IA Elisabeta Polihroniade passed away on 23 January 2016.

The Commission expresses its sincere condolences to her family and to the Romanian Chess Federation.

Elisabeta Polihroniade was the most well known Romanian Arbiter and had worked as an Arbiter in thirteen (13) subsequent Olympiads.

She was also a player, organizer, editor and author of many chess books and magazines, while she promoted chess all over the world.

Let her rest in peace.
