FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Batumi, GEORGIA
From 22 to25 October 2016 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Batumi, Georgia, by the Georgian Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.
The lecturer was IA Ashot Vardapetyan (ARM), Chairman of the FIDE Rules Commission and FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Marika Japaridze (GEO).
The Seminar was organized parallel to the 2016 World Cadets U 08, 10 and 12 Chess Championships.
The venue of the Seminar was the Intourist Hotel, in Batumi.
The lectures were in Russian and English language.
Twelve (12) people from Georgia, Latvia, Lebanon and Zimbabwe participated in the Seminar. All of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures and the following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm for the FIDE Arbiter title, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
