REPORT OF THE ARBITERS’ COMMISSION for the 1st Quarter FIDE PB (Antalya, TURKEY, 3-6/2/2011)

In the period from September until end January 2011 sixteen (16) FIDE ARBITERS’ SEMINARS were organized in the following places, under the auspices of FIDE:

7.      Tashkent, UZBEKISTAN, 22-25/3/2011

8.      La Habana, CUBA, 11-15/5/2011.

The list of the FA norms and titles for approval by the PB are attached.

B. COMMUNICATION  WITH   FEDERATIONS

 Many e-mails have been exchanged with Elista Office and National Federations clarifying the decisions of the FIDE General Assembly in Khanty-Mansiysk, regarding the titles of FA and IA, and giving information regarding the organization of FIDE Arbiters’ Seminars.

C. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FA AND IA TITLE APPLICATIONS

In the attached file there is the recommendation of the Arbiters’ Commission for the FA and IA title applications that have been submitted for approval by the FIDE PB in Antalya, Turkey.

D. FIDE ARBITERS’ COMMISSIONS PROJECTS

The FIDE Arbiters’ Commission website has been launched (http://arbiters.fide.com)

The Arbiters’ Manual project has started and several IAs will be working on this. A draft may be provided for approval in FIDE Executive Board in Krakow.
