FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Istanbul, TURKEY

seminar_logoFrom 29 August to7 September 2012, during the 40th Chess Olympiad, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Istanbul, Turkey, by the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission in cooperation with the Turkish Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The seminar was held in the venue of the Olympiad, the Istanbul Expo Center (IEC).

The lecturer was IA Dirk De Ridder (BEL), Chairman of FIDE Technical Commission and FIDE Lecturer.

The lectures were in English language.

Fourteen (14) people from Turkey, Botswana, Surinam, Uganda, Ethiopia and Malawi participated in the Seminar and seven (7) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures. The following succeeded in the test and will be awarded a norm or the title of the FIDE Arbiter (according to the article 3.10 of the regulations for the titles of Arbiters), after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
