Monastir, Tunisia workshop

Dear friends,
FIDE, the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and the Tunisian Chess Federation announce the first workshop for the training of the International Arbiters in French language.
The workshop will be held in Monastir, Tunisia, from 20 June 2014 (arrival) to 22 June 2014 (departure).
The venue will be the Monastir Hotel (4*), in Monastir, where the accommodation of the participants will be arranged.
The schedule of the workshop will be as follows:
Saturday, 21 June: 10.00 -14.00: Laws of Chess
16.00- 20.00: Titles, Ratings and Swiss pairings regulations
Sunday, 22 June: 10.00 -14.00: Incidents happened in tournaments

Discussion.
The Lecturers will be: IA Dirk De Ridder, Secretary of the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission and FIDE Lecturer and IA Stephen Boyd, FIDE Lecturer.
The maximum number of the participants will be 25.
The final list of the participants will be approved by the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission.
The priority for the participation in the workshop will be as follows:
- Lecturers
- IAs of A’ Category
- IAs of B’ Category
- IAs of C’ Category
- IAs of D’ Category
FIDE will reimburse twenty (maximum) of the participants with up to 300 euros each, for covering their expenses, based on receipts.
The International Arbiters who want to participate in the workshop are kindly requested to register their participation, by sending an email to the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission (Chairman Takis Nikolopoulos: takisnik@yahoo.com and Secretary Dirk De Ridder: fide_dirkderidder@skynet.be ).The dead line for the registration will be 31 May 2014 and the final list of participants will be published on the FIDE Arbiters’ Commission website on 2 June 2014.
