148th Internet-based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar (CAN) – Report

The 148th Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar (Canada) was held from 13th to 18th November 2023. It was organized by the British Columbia Chess Federation (BCCF), and Chess Federation of Canada (CFC), under the auspices of FIDE.

The Lecturer was IA/IO Marghetis, Aris (CAN), FIDE Lecturer, and the Technical Organizer was IA Hater, David (USA).

The Language of the Seminar was English.

Nineteen (19) arbiters from three (3) national federations (SWE, USA, and CAN) participated in the Seminar, and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Council:
