Arbiters Workshop in Tashkent (Asian Chess Federation) – Report
The Arbiters’ Workshop was organized by the Asian Chess Federation. Workshop took place in the Chess Academy of Uzbekistan 28-29 November, 2024 with participants from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
In total, 14 arbiters took part in the Seminar.
Representative person from host Federation and Lecturer’s Assistant was President of 3.4 Asian Zone, FIDE Lector IA Husan Turdialiev (UZB). The Observer was Hisham Al Taher, General Secretary of Asian Chess Federation.
The Workshop proceeded 2 days (12 hours). The program of seminar included the following issues: a) Laws of Chess (including Rapid, Blitz, etc), 3 hours; b) Tournament Rules, 1 hours; c) System of Games, tie breaks, 2 hours; d) Swiss system and Pairing rules, 1 hours; e) Regulations for the rating and the over‐the‐board titles, 2 hours; f) Regulations for the titles of the Arbiters, 1 hour; g) Anti cheating guidelines for Arbiters 2 hour.

All Arbiters, who participated in this Workshop got certificates from the President of 3.4 Asian Zone. Finally, I would like to thank the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan for very good organization and successful implementation of this Workshop.
