FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Sharjah, UAE
From 26 to 29 May 2016 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Sharjah, UAE, by the UAE Chess Federation and the Sharjah Chess and Culture Club and under auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer of the seminar was IA Takis Nikolopoulos (GRE), FIDE Arbiters’ Commission Chairman and FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturers were IA Sultan Al Taher (UAE) and IA Anastasia Sorokina (AUS).
The venue of the Seminar was the Sharjah Chess and Culture Club in Sharjah, UAE.
The lectures were in English language, with translation into Arabic.
Thirty five (35) people from UAE, Syria, India, Philippines, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen and Somalia participated in the Seminar and twenty (20) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Congress:
