FIDE Arbiters` Seminar in Sochi (Russia) – Report
The FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held in Sochi, Russia, by the Russian Chess Federation, under auspices of FIDE (April 21-25th, 2019)
The lecturer was IA Shaab, Alexander (4153758), FIDE Lecturer, and Assistant lecturer was IA Tkachev, Alexander (RUS), FIDE Lecturer.
Program of the seminar:
21.04 – Day of arrival.
22.04 – Laws of Chess (including Rapid, Blitz, etc) – Anti cheating guidelines for Arbiters
23.04 – Tournament Rules, System of Games, tie breaks.
24.04 – Swiss system. Pairing rules, Regulations for the rating and the over-the-board titles, Regulations for the titles of the Arbiters, Use of the electronic clocks, Examination test.
25.04. – Day of departure
The language of the Seminar was Russian.
Fifty nine (59) National Arbiters from one (1) Federations (RUS) participated in the seminar.
Ten (10) of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
Ten (10) of them passed the examination test with 80%.
The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board:
