REPORT OF THE ARBITERS’ COMMISSION for the 1st Quarter 2012 FIDE PB (Al Ain, UAE, 3-6/2/2012)

A. FIDE ARBITERS’ SEMINARS

     In the period from end October 2011 until beginning of January 2012 ten (10) FIDE ARBITERS’ SEMINARS were organized in the following places, under the auspices of FIDE:

    1. Gatwick, ENGLAND, 28-30 October 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    2. Belgorod, RUSSIA, 1-4 November 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    3. Novokuznetsk, RUSSIA, 3-6 November 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    4. Caldas Novas, BRAZIL, 19-25 November 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    5. 12th Internet Seminar, EL SALVADOR, 21-29 November 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    6. Lisbon, PORTUGAL, 2-4 and 9-11 December 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    7. London, ENGLAND, 5-9 December 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    8. Lusaka, ZAMBIA, 13-16 December 2011 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website)
    9. Chennai, INDIA, 6-9 January 2012 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website).
    10. Ruzoberock, SLOVAKIA, 20-22 January 2012 (report and results have been published on the FIDE website).

    The following FIDE Arbiters’ Seminars have been approved for the next period:

    1. Zahedan IRAN, 26-29 January 2012.
    2. Moscow, RUSSIA, 1-4 February 2012.
    3. Ankara, TURKEY, 8-12 February 2012.
    4. Athens, GREECE, 17-19 February 2012.
    5. 14th Internet Seminar, ITALY, 24 March-1 April 2012.
    6. Samarkand, UZBEKISTAN, 4-8 April 2012.
    7. Linz, AUSTRIA, 24-27 May 2012.

    The list of the FA norms and titles for approval by the PB are attached.

    B. COMMUNICATION WITH  FEDERATIONS

      Many e-mails have been exchanged with Elista Office and National Federations, clarifying the decisions of the Krakow 2011 FIDE Congress, regarding the titles of FA and IA, and giving information regarding the organization of FIDE Arbiters’ Seminars.

      C. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FA AND IA TITLE APPLICATIONS

        In the attached file there is the recommendation of the Arbiters’ Commission for the FA and IA title applications that have been submitted for approval by the FIDE PB in Al Ain, UAE.

        D. UPDATE OF THE FIDE LECTURERS’ LIST

          IA Alexander Tkachev application to be included in the FIDE Lecturers’ list has to be approved, as he fulfills all the requirements, according to the regulations.
