FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Montreal (CAN) – Report

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in mixed format from 29/07/2024 to 11/08/2024 in Montreal, Canada, by the Francophone Chess Association / Quebec Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE. The first part of the seminar was held online over 5 sessions and the second part in Montreal during a full weekend (9-11 August).

The Lecturer was IA Freyd, Laurent (FRA), FIDE Lecturer and the Local Assistant Lecturer was IA Denommee, Pierre (CAN).

The language of the Seminar was French.

Five (5) participants from Canada participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

The following succeeded in the test and they will be awarded a norm for the title of the FIDE Arbiter, after the approval of the next FIDE Council:
