The new FIDE Regulations for Arbiters are approved!

The FIDE Arbiters’ Commission is proud to announce that the 1st FIDE Council 2021 has approved the new FIDE Regulations for Arbiters, effective from 1st July 2021.

Our team invested a lot of energy on the preparation of the new Regulations for Arbiters. They are now better aligned with our vision and include proposals from arbiters and Federations. The new set of regulations is organised as follows:

B.06.1 – FIDE Regulations for the Titles of Arbiters
B.06.2 – FIDE Regulations for the Training of chess arbiters
B.06.3 – FIDE Regulations for the Classification of Arbiters

The disciplinary regulations remain unchanged.

We would like to thank the FIDE Management Board, Federations, arbiters and the members of the Arbiters’ Commission who contributed to the development of the FIDE Regulations for arbiters.

We will soon share with the arbiters’ community about the implementation of the new regulations. Stay tuned!
