Call of interest for arbiters at the 44th Chess Olympiad 2020

logo fide150The 44th Chess Olympiad will take place from the 5th to the 18th of August 2020 in Moscow, Russia.

The FIDE Arbiter Commission is opening a call of interest to licensed arbiters (FIDE Arbiter or International Arbiter) who wish to be part of the arbiter team during the Olympiad.

67th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar - Report

seminar logo67th Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held from 3rd to 10th December 2019.
It was organized by the Federacion Nacional de Ajedrez de Mexico, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer and the Technical Organizer was IO Ramirez Barajas, Mario Antonio (MEX).
The Language of the Seminar was in Spanish.
The participation fee for a limited number of female participants will be covered by WOM from OIC funding.
Thirty-two (32) participants are registered from eleven (11) different federations attend the seminar, there were from ARG, BOL, BRA, COL, CRC, ECU, ESP, HON, MEX, PER and VEN. All of them attended the exam. Thirteen (13) of them passed the examination test with 80%, which was held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Subic Freeport, Philippines (November 2019) - Report

subic freeport november2019 pic01From 29th November to 1st December 2019, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Subic Freeport, Philippines, by the Asian Chess Federation and the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA/IO Abundo, Casto (PHI), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Lee, Patrick (PHI).
The language of the Seminar was English with translation into Pilipino.
Twenty-eight (28) arbiters from the Philippines participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.

66th Internet based FIDE Arbiters' Seminar - Report

seminar logo66th Internet Based FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was held from 17th to 24th September 2019.
It was organized by the Confederation for Chess in Americas, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA Santiago Garcia Ramos (MEX), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Jorge Vega Fernandez (GUA).
The Language of the Seminar was in Spanish.
Twenty (20) participants are registered from twelve (12) different federations attend the seminar, there were from AHO, BRA, CHI, COL, CRC, DOM, ECU, MEX, NCA, PUR, USA and VEN. Nineteen (19) of them attended the exam. Eight (8) of them passed the examination test with 80%, which was held after the end of the lectures.

FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar in Dhaka, Bangladesh (November 2019) - Report

dhaka november2019 pic01From 30th November to 2nd December 2019, a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Dhaka, Bangladesh, by the Bangladesh Chess Federation, under the auspices of FIDE.
The Lecturer was IA/IO Pahlevanzadeh, Mehrdad (IRI), FIDE Lecturer and the Assistant Lecturer was IA Md Haroon or Rashid (BAN).
The language of the Seminar was English.
Fifteen (15) arbiters from Bangladesh and Pakistan participated in the Seminar and all of them participated in the examination test, held after the end of the lectures.
