A new system for the selection of Arbiters in World Events is coming!

All arbiters who wish to officiate in World Events (Chess Olympiad and all the other events of World Level in the FIDE Calendar) now have to declare in advance their interest to be selected. This counts for all roles, from Chief Arbiter to Floor Arbiter. Arbiters will be assigned, depending on their experience, to panels which will be used to assign positions in tournaments.

A call of interest is now open for the coming cycle (2022-2023) and you are kindly invited to circulate the information within the arbiters’ community in your federation.

The FIDE Arbiters’ Commission publishes a daily update of answers, where you can see the list of arbiters from your federation who have already answered the call of interest: https://arbiters.fide.com/news/6525

We are happy to inform you that we are extending the deadline to submit answers to the 20th of December 2021.
